Daft Punk’s fourth studio album Random Access Memories officially drops on May 21st 2013, and in gleeful anticipation here’s Menswear Dog’s loving tribute to the most stylish robots in the game.
The electronic duo have hooked up with Hedi Slimane of high fashion house Saint Laurent this time around to outfit them in one-of-a-kind couture smoking jackets. The hardware is certainly over-the-top but these dudes always know how a suit should fit because these rigs are tailored to perfection.

Gats & Dogs
Joining in on the unanimous fashion boner that Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby has garnered, here’s Menswear Dog’s take on the opulent classic.
The movie itself is more style than substance but that’s perfect for us because we’re not a movie blog. Baz Luhrmann goes over-the-top decadent in this rendition, but makes sure to pay attention to all the little details that make fashion bloggers go gaga. From collar pins to pattern-mixing to masterfully tailored 3-piece rigs; this is less a movie and more a moving mood board for the roaring twenties…and we’re ok with that. It opened nationwide this weekend so check it out.

Game On
You’re gonna hear a lot of noise about baseball jackets this Spring and every brand that know’s what’s what has their own version. It’s basically an extension of the varsity jacket trend that’s everywhere right now in a lighter weight and built for warmer weather. We’re particularly feeling this Members Only version with a denim body and cigar-colored leather sleeves. Get your game on.

MWD Would You Wear It?
We recently checked out Justin Timberlake’s new video for his followup single Mirrors and love him or hate him, dude’s slick as shit.
He doesn’t show up until the last half of the video but when he does, he’s donning an impeccably tailored black-on-black-on-black Tom Ford turtleneck / topcoat / suit trouser ensemble doing his JT dance thing. That’s all well and good but the real star of the video and what caught our eye has got to be these vicious Louboutin’s he’s rocking. That’s right, Christian Louboutin’s for men, complete with red soles and totally unnecessary metal wingtip. Can’t lie though, we’re kinda digging them, especially the black on black version seen above.
The model is called the Louboutin Gareth Zip and seem to be sold out online but I’m sure with some digging you can find them…also, if you have $1200 to spare on novelty dress shoes.

Dress Up Your Denim, Dress Down Your Suit
There’s no easier way to dress down a stuffy outfit than with a denim jacket. The combo brings a sense of casual ease while still looking put together. Despite what JT says, sometimes it’s just not appropriate to show up in a full suit. Loosen the tie to complete the look.
